Install, Open, and Remove Vida

Install from the Mac App Store

1. Open the App Store and search for Vida.
2. Click Get, then Install.
3. Open Applications.
4. Double-click Vida.
5. Complete the permission steps on first launch.

Vida is only available from the Mac App Store. If you have a copy from anywhere else, remove it before installing: macOS ties Screen Recording approval to how an app is signed, and keeping two differently signed copies is what leaves the permission switched on but refused.

Update Vida

1. Open the App Store and go to Updates.
2. Click Update next to Vida.
3. Reopen Vida.

Your saved recordings remain in your selected save folder.

Remove Vida

1. Quit Vida.
2. Open Applications.
3. Move Vida.app to the Trash.
4. Delete saved recordings manually only if you no longer need them.
