Known Limitations

  • Vida records a full display, not a selected window or custom region.
  • Webcam overlay is not included.
  • Video editing is not included.
  • Audio Only with system audio depends on macOS screen/audio capture availability.
  • Pause/resume is available from the menu bar; paused time is skipped in the final recording and auto-stop timers wait while paused.
  • System audio level in the header is live only during capture; pre-recording movement is intentionally not shown.
  • The floating controller appears only while a recording is active and the setting is enabled.
